Tortoises are naturally attracted to succulent plants eg Sedum due to their moisture content. Wild tortoises are often seen grazing on Sedums. They can easily grow in very little soil or moisture and will often be found rooted in stoney paths and dry walls. Sedums are fine for tortoises to eat, but as with all succulents feed in moderation as too much can upset their stomach.
