Sempervivums are fine for tortoises to eat, but as with all succulents feed in moderation as too much can upset their stomach.
Tortoises are naturally attracted to succulents due to their moisture content.
Sempervivums are fairly high in oxalic acid but also have high amounts of water soluble calcium.
Tortoises prefer the foliage to the flower of these plants.
